Lesson in Management: #2

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him.As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out!

He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.
A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

my commentary

Morals of the story:
(1) Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.

Remember shit will trickle down

(2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.

You may have escaped only to end up in a deeper pile

(3) And when you’re in deep shit, it’s best to keep your mouth shut!

(when your in deep shit) with others at least you know your not alone.

Thought hurling keeps you unfocused.

I am in deep shit. When I was hurling my thoughts at poor dhuz and I saw how frazzled he got, I thought to myself this is what I do to myself all the time. No wonder I am frazzled. Because it is hard for me to focus I need to force myself to do it. I think sending Moshie to karate lessons might help her develop some self discipline right from the start–goodness knows her spongy brain will soak up so much she will teach me a thing or two.

You have a really unique way of looking at things. I liked this post a lot – the way you related the bird story to life lessons and then to your own life. I like your blog.
